Why on earth was the Baby laid in a MANGER?I believe it’s more than a message of simplicity.
Echoing the prophet Isaiah,
“The ox knows His master, the donkey his owner’s MANGER,
but Israel does not know, my people do not understand” (1.3);
Now, the curse is being put away. The true Israel has found her food,
The people of God find their source of life.
Since, the Son of God, the Messiah Jesus, was THERE!
My dear Pals,
I’m reserved to say “Merry Christmas,”
yet I’m zealous to shout aloud:“Lift up your heart, ye people of God!
For your LEADER, your KING,
Your MASTER, your LORD,
draws you to His MANGER.”
Laus Deus!God be praised!
